Jessica Hunt is an experienced real estate professional and exhibited an exceptional ability to meet our needs during the sale of a home and purchase of a new one. Jessica was detail-oriented during all phases of buying and selling; knowledgeable about the local real estate market as it pertained to the property we were selling and buying (regional, county, city, subdivision); strategic in her approach to list, market, and close; and persistent in meeting our expectations during the offer and negotiation processes Jessica collaborated with all parties to ensure the best outcome for us, which included the buyers and sellers agents and the service providers hired for repairs. Jessica has a broad network of contacts from home improvement/repair service providers (flooring, counter tops, small home repair, moisture issues, and so on) to termite inspectors, mortgage brokers, insurance providers, home security, and home staging services. We cannot overstate the incredible work Jessica performed on our behalf. She is an incredible communicator whether by text, email, phone, or face to face meetings. Jessica meets commitments, responds timely and monitors all open issues to resolution. In our situation, she was instrumental in negotiating reasonable home repairs at both properties and worked right up through closing when she identified an inconsistent reading on the thermostat (HVAC) on our final walk through of the home we were purchasing and ensured it was repaired at seller expense. Hands down the BEST experience we could have had with any realtor. Back in March, Kristen and her husband, Charlie, came to the rescue when my husband and I were trying to sell our home near downtown Raleigh. This home has been in my husband’s family for 3 generations so it was definitely a special home. We had originally gone through Zillow to find a sellers agent. They paired us up with a realtor who was - for lack of better term - a complete nightmare. As first time home buyers/sellers we had NO clue what we were doing and expected, at the very minimum, decent communication as to what was happening during the process. Our home sat on the market for a few weeks with little to no activity and we were getting extremely frustrated with the lack of any communication or marketing effort. They even used MY photos that I had taken with my iPhone for the listing photos. So ridiculous. We had eventually reached a breaking point and asked to be released from our contract. We had been given Kristen’s contact info from my sister and brother in law who had used Kristen and Charlie to sell and purchase their new home recently. We decided to give it a try since we had another home lined up we were hoping to secure so time was of the essence. We called Kristen at 7:00pm on a Tuesday night and all of our fears instantly subsided. She made us feel completely at ease and let us know that she would try her absolute best to get our home sold as quickly as possible. Kristen and Charlie came out to our house the very next day at 10am to start taking photos/videos and get us up and running on MLS again! And can we just talk about how AMAZING the photos and video turned out! Kudos to Charlie for an amazing job with helping us represent our home beautifully! The craziest part of this whole thing is that Covid hit right as we were getting back into the market and Kristen STILL managed to sell our home within a couple weeks of being on the market! You would have thought I was buying a million dollar home with as much time and effort that Jessica put into the process. I live two hours away from her office, right outside of Wilmington and she arrived at every appointment before I got there. She was always quick to answer texted questions and when she didn't know the answer immediately she jumped on it until the question had been resolved. She knows the industry well which can mean the biggest difference in the world when evaluating the types of value any house you look at might have. It's one thing to make a house your home, but it is a pretty big bonus if that home also goes up in value by 10% over a five year period. Jessica was detail-oriented during all phases of buying and selling; knowledgeable about the local real estate market as it pertained to the property we were selling and buying (regional, county, city, subdivision); strategic in her approach to list, market, and close; and persistent in meeting our expectations during the offer and negotiation processes. Jessica collaborated with all parties to ensure the best outcome for us, which included the buyers and sellers agents and the service providers hired for repairs. Jessica has a broad network of contacts from home improvement/repair service providers (flooring, counter tops, small home repair, moisture issues, and so on) to termite inspectors, mortgage brokers, insurance providers, home security, and home staging services.
